PaaS infrastructure that works everywhere

Java app deployment and hosting

Java app hosting and Spring Boot deployment: Maven or Gradle builds without a Dockerfile, the JAR runs on Eclipse Temurin. Kotlin is supported too; billing in rubles.

Auto-deploy from Git

The platform pulls the code from your repository, builds the project and runs it.

Ready-made environment

No Nginx or Linux setup required. Reliable RelaxNet servers under the hood.

Custom domains and SSL

Connect your domain in one click, and the platform issues a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate automatically.

RelaxNet builds Java and Kotlin projects with Maven or Gradle automatically — no Dockerfile required.

The platform detects the project configuration, picks a JDK and, once the build finishes, runs the resulting JAR file.

How to deploy Java

1. Connect your repository

Connect a Git repository and select a Java or Kotlin project.

2. Automatic build

RelaxNet detects Maven or Gradle from the project files, picks a JDK version and runs the build without tests.

3. App startup

After a successful build, RelaxNet finds the right JAR file, puts it into an Eclipse Temurin runtime image and starts the app.

Common errors and fixes

pom.xml or build.gradle not found

Make sure pom.xml, build.gradle or build.gradle.kts is in the project root. If the project lives in a subfolder, set the Root Directory in the settings.

No JAR file found after the build

Check the Maven or Gradle build output. RelaxNet looks for typical fat JARs, including *-all.jar, *-shaded.jar and *-jar-with-dependencies.jar, and then picks a suitable JAR from the build directory.

FAQ

Which Java (JDK) version is used?

JDK 21 by default. For Maven projects, RelaxNet tries to detect the version from pom.xml. Versions below 17 are not used automatically — JDK 21 is used instead.

Is Kotlin supported?

Yes. Kotlin projects are supported via Gradle and Maven.

Do I need to write a Dockerfile?

No. For standard Maven and Gradle projects, RelaxNet generates a Dockerfile to build and run the app automatically.

Which port does the app use?

RelaxNet sets PORT=8080, SERVER_PORT=8080, QUARKUS_HTTP_PORT=8080 and MICRONAUT_SERVER_PORT=8080. Spring Boot uses SERVER_PORT=8080.
